The Enrique Fernández Martínez Sports Complex will be the main venue, hosting athletics, 3×3 basketball, 6×6 football, tennis, taekwondo, and volleyball, while the Macrocentro León I will host the swimming competitions.
“For the first time, the Children’s Games are coming to Latin America, and León is the main host city. We have confirmed the participation of 1,500 athletes from delegations coming from Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America,” reported Isaac Piña, director general of the Municipal Sports Commission of León.
Mayor Ale Gutiérrez affirmed the work being done in the municipality through sports, which has gained significant national and international relevance in recent years.
“The most important thing we have in our city is its people. Our athletes have done everything to leave a legacy for the citizens, and we will continue to work on providing dignified facilities and hosting major events where people can come and enjoy the city,” emphasized the mayor.
